Red Threads #Cirkulacija 2 is the third edition of the Red Threads project, developed since 2018 by Translación | Traslación, a platform for production, exhibition and research on performance art created by artists Tatiana Kocmur and Francisco Tomsich. Red Threads is a model of artistic research on performative art focused on the reception of performative artworks by the persons who were present in the place and time in which a particular work was made. For this edition of Red Threads, Translacija | Traslación will focus on histories of performance art and the performative at and around Circulacija 2, and their meaning in the historical context of the activities of that multidisciplinary association of artists. The red threads in question are exemplified by the quest for a possible (or imaginary) “first performance” at Cirkulacija 2 and how the group’s founders build stories about it, in dialogue with an artwork from Ksenija Čerče which documents a collective action carried by Cirkulacija 2 in Alkatraz gallery (Ljubljana) in 2010.

Red Threads #Cirkulacija 2 je tretja izdaja projekta Rdeče niti, ki ga od leta 2018 razvija Translación | Traslación, platforma za produkcijo, razstavljanje in raziskovanje umetnosti performansa, ki jo ustvarjata umetnika Tatiana Kocmur in Francisco Tomsich. Rdeče niti je model umetniškega raziskovanja performativne umetnosti, ki se osredotoča na recepcijo performativnih umetniških del s strani oseb, ki so bile prisotne v kraju in času, v katerem je bilo določeno delo ustvarjeno. Pri tej izdaji Rdečih niti se bo Translacija | Traslación osredotočila na zgodovino performativne umetnosti in performativnega v in v produkciji Cirkulacije 2 ter na njihov pomen v zgodovinskem kontekstu dejavnosti tega multidisciplinarnega združenja umetnikov. Primer teh rdečih niti ponazarja iskanje možnega (ali namišljenega) “prvega performansa” v Cirkulaciji 2 in kako ustanovitelji skupine gradijo zgodbe o njem, v dialogu z umetniškim delom Ksenije Čerče, ki dokumentira kolektivno akcijo Cirkulacije 2 v galeriji Alkatraz (Ljubljana) leta 2010.
